MY JANE AUSTEN BOOK CLUB: Talking Jane Austen with Sarah Seltzer, writer and journalist
This interview on my personal brand of Janeitism with Italian Jane Austen blogger Maria Grazia was fun to do! I managed to get down many of my neverending thoughts about St. Jane without getting overly rambly (though I was tempted. Oh, was I tempted.)
And it prompted me to create a list of all the professional pubs and longer blog posts I’ve done about Austen (plus I threw the Brontes in too for good measure):
- A parody of “Becoming Jane” at The Egalitarian Bookworm.
- Annals of Austen-Mania at Bitch magazine.
- My first JASNA meeting at the Egalitarian Bookworm.
- Set In Westport, a Jewish retelling of “Sense and Sensibility” at the Forward.
- Austen Boom Keeps Janeite Scholars Jumping at Women’s eNews
- Can any Emma Adaptation Compare with Clueless? at WSJ Speakeasy
- Women in Hollywood and Literary Adaptations, at Romancing the Tome
- True Love, Jane Austen and Campion Style at RH Reality Check
- Pride and Prejudice: The Musical considered at WSJ Speakeasy
- Jane Austen Doesn’t Adhere to Your Ideology right here
- On the new “Racy” Adaptations of Austen, the Brontes, etc. right here.
